My Journey with Gymnastics

I started gymnastics at 18 years old and could neither touch my toes nor do a forward roll. Eight years later I can perform handstands, splits and backflips as party tricks on command. My flexibility, strength and power has helped me in any other sport or task I wish to undertake, as well as allowing me to get through daily life feeling pain free and capable. However, it was not an easy path to get here.

I learned the majority of my gymnastics through trial and error - mostly error. As such, I have modelled my coaching on avoiding my own personal mistakes, ensuring people get to share the luxuries gymnastics training affords me without the bumpy ride I took to get here. My work on the elite gymnastics squads programs coupled with my extensive work in injury prevention has given me even further insight into how to effectively coach gymnastics for fully grown adults. Mostly though, I simply love helping people who share my passion for this wonderful sport.

Artistic Gymnastics

Artistic gymnastics classes feature a generous warmup with a keen focus on strength and conditioning. We ensure that we build up to the demanding physical requirements of gymnastics sensibly and safely with our careful programming and joint preparation. We then cycle through the apparatus and everyone works on skills suitable to their level with coaching advice and lots of spotting!

Party Tricks

Party tricks classes focus on everything you can do without apparatus. The goal is to get you comfortable enough to do tricks on hard floor so that you can bust them out whenever and wherever you like! We focus on splits, handstands, bridges, walkovers, hand balancing, calisthenics, and of course the almighty backflip. These skills don't come for free so still expect plenty of flexibility and strength training!
